A national 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering women pursuing careers in medicine through mentorship, community, and opportunity.
Alayah and Alexis Collins are the twin sisters and co-founders of Women In Pre-Med, Inc., established on February 1, 2022, at Tuskegee University. While pursuing their undergraduate degrees, the sisters recognized a need for greater access to resources, mentorship, networking, and professional development for women pursuing careers in healthcare. They transformed that vision into Women In Pre-Med—a student-led organization created to empower women and help them navigate their journeys into the medical field. What began as a campus organization grew beyond Tuskegee University, with the first WIPM chapter established in November 2022 and additional collegiate chapters following at universities across the country. Today, the Collins sisters continue to lead the organization with a shared vision of shaping the minds of future female healthcare providers and creating opportunities that help women turn their aspirations into meaningful careers in healthcare.

To empower women pursuing healthcare careers by providing mentorship, resources, and a supportive community that fosters academic excellence, leadership, and service.
We believe that representation matters. By building a pipeline of talented, compassionate, and driven women in medicine, we are shaping the future of healthcare for generations to come.
